For
the remix single, we gathered up another crew of no strangers to the
Fort Knox Family. First up is Thomas Blondet, known to Fort Knox fans
for his slamming remix of Sao Funky from Radio Free DC Remixed, and to
the world as the driving force behind Rhythm & Culture recordings as
well as a longtime resident DJ at the Eighteenth Street Lounge. For
this remix, Blondet teamed up with Second Sky and Zeb to make Bhangra
Paanch into a dubbed out world beat anthem. We also included their
special dub version that flips the remix on its head. Next up is our man
from Melbourne, Australia: Nick Thayer. Nick has consistently shown
his production skills in a variety of genres, defying categorization.
His remix of Bhangra Paanch proves just that, it is a monster electro
4/4 banger, with crazy whirling synth lines and one of the fattest
basslines we have heard in ages! To round out the package we went with
DC’s own soul compatriots, All Good Funk Alliance. The AGFA boys have
been busy running multiple labels, as well as producing many nu-funk
classics. They added their signature funk drums to the mix, and lots of
dubby glitch sounds. The end product is a version that will rock any
dance floor.

bhangra, electro to downtempo, and as always some serious funk &
soul thrown in, the Bhangra Paanch Remix Single raises the bar once
again, showcasing Fort Knox Five in a whole new light.
